The March Area Regeneration and Development Trust is a Company Limited by Guarantee, Company No. 06084859.

It is independent, non-profit making and managed by a committee of volunteers committed to regenerating the town of March, Cambridgeshire according to the company objects as detailed below.

It has policies in place to ensure that it operates best practice, including a Health & Safety Policy, a Child & Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy and an Equal Opportunities Policy.

MARDT's OBJECTS:

a) Principal objects shall be to develop the sustainable regeneration of March and the hinterland; socially, economically and environmentally, including:

   * Promoting the sustainable economic regeneration of the March area for business and the community
   * Encourage and promote enhancement to the appearance of March as a thriving market town
   * Continue good communications with the community to ensure that future regeneration meets their needs and wishes
   * Increase awareness of funding opportunities and facilitate the use of such funding for all sectors of the community
   * Provide a lobbying and pressure platform to ensure that the community of the March area is fairly treated and has a respected contributory voice in government arenas

b)  To be democratic, non-profit making, non-sectarian, not affiliated to or connected directly with any political party or political organisation.

c)  To be as representative of the March area as possible, encouraging participation from as wide a variety of groups, individuals and areas as is practicable.
